Soon to Be Home!

Ok, well we put an offer on this Half Duplex and they accepted! Wahooo! We do have inspections this Wed. so if everything goes well we will be moving in about a month! I hope! Last time i put pictures of the house we wanted it just didn't work out. Cross your fingers. hehe. Here are the pictures of what it looks like.

It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and garage! It has a living room and in the basement also has a little family room. There is a deck on the upple level and a small yard. We both cannot wait to move in!

One of the extra bedrooms, the one downstairs.

The second bedroom upstairs. At least we know we can fit a baby in the house! lol

4th of July

Our First Fourth of July!

Brian and I drove to Victoria, Minnesota (right by Minneapolis) to spend the 4th with his side of the family. His Uncle Mark and Aunt Chris live there with their kids Annie and Nick. I think there were about 16 of us in all. It was the first time I met one of his Aunts and Uncle and one of his cousins and her family. It was a very relaxing weekend, I didn't have to worry about school work or work (well lets just say i opted not to do any school work). On Friday I went with Brian's cousin Tara and her husband and Brian's other cousin Annie to the Mall of America. It was huge! We had fun window shopping and looking at the amusement park. Yes, they had like 3 roller coaster and some that even went upside down. While we were out shopping, the rest of the family went to a couple of museums and St. Paul's Cathedral. On Saturday we went on a Lake Cruise on Lake Minnetonka. It was really neat, we ate dinner and gathered with hundreds of other boats to watch the fireworks. It was a spectacular show. One firework even made a smiley face. It was lots of fun to get to know Brian's side of the family better.

This is where we had the boat cruise. There were big and beautiful homes on the lake. They were mansions... some owned by the Twins Owner, Inventors, and much more!
Waiting to board for our boat cruise. There was a train depot and pretty flowers to gaze at. Grandpa and Grandma Pottorff

Cousin Annie & Uncle Robin (Aunt Tacy's husband. I think Tacy was smart and avoided the camera! :)

It was an amazing sunset!

Mike was able to capture some great shots of the fireworks. All those lights you see by the water are boats. There were sooooooo many it was crazy. Good thing we had a big boat so we could push our way to the shore! lol

Laura Heads to Chicago

Brian's mom and dad came down last saturday and left on monday. The reason: Laura and her friend are moving to Chicago! It was great to see mom and dad and hang out with them of course. We showed them the house we want to buy and brian and his dad attempted to crawl in the crawl space. I guess they made it in and out ok. Of course the down side of it is Laura won't be so close to us anymore! :( Our lil sister starting a new chapter in her life. We are excited for her, and it gives us even more reason to visit Chicago. (Like we didn't have enough already! :) ) I didn't get my camera out, so no pictures, but I wanted to post anyway! We miss you already LAURA!

Picnic Time!

Brian and I decided to take a picnic last saturday evening, it was so beautiful we headed to the grocery store on Friday night to pick out our picnic supplies. Which consisted of crackers, summer sausage, brie, sharp cheddar cheese, potato salad, and grapes. Mmmmm, it was wonderful. We found a park by Brian's old house and enjoyed the peacfulness and the baseball games in the background. Summer is here and we took advantage of it! (Before it got too humid, haha, because it is really muggy out there now!)

We even used our picnic wine caddy we got for our wedding. It was lots of fun!

You can see my new hair cut too! It was sooo long, it feels bouncy and light now, a great summer cut. I know Melissa, I always told you after girls get married they always cut there hair.... but it isn't too short, right? :)

Our Night's Entertainment: Catching Grapes!

Brian of course began the shenanigans by trying to catch a grape himself, then I started the tossing and eventually scored! Of course I had to try some catching myself too.

House Hunting

We are currently house hunting, and have actually put an offer on this house!
It is a short sale, but really should be called Looooooooooong Sale. They accepted our offer almost a month and a half ago, pending on the seller's bank approval. We are still looking at other houses, but haven't found a better one. This one has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, nice hard wood floors, and is in a wonderful location!
So PRAY that we will hear good news soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mel's Birthday

Turning 27 Can Be Quite FUN!!!
I had a wonderful 27th Birthday! It was back in April, but it was so fun (and i have been slacking on blogging) that I still wanted to share the pictures with you.

Brian first took me out to eat at a delicious Italian restaurant, then we went paintballing with some of our friends. It was my first time attempting to paint ball. I was nervous about getting that first hit and then it happened and I didn't think it was too bad... until I got some right in the stomach and on my thighs..... OUCH!!! The paintball place we went to was underground in a cave, it is probably one of the coolest places to paintball!

I did nail people, well one person to be exact, but it was fun! I think our team lost more times than won, but come on we were against professional paintballers! Well, 12-14 year old professional paintballers. I mean they are much quicker and in shape! :)

Baby, Baby... No, not ours :)

Last night we went to visit our friends, Kiel & Amy, who just had their first baby girl, Mia Beth, on April 14. It was fun getting to see their cute little bundle of joy. Mia is a very lucky girl to have Amy & Kiel as parents. (well at least Amy anyway... just kidding Kiel)

Kiel... the very proud papa

Me holding Mia... Didn't even cry that much!

Even Brian held Mia. Lets just say somehow Mia got plopped down in Brian's arms, as you can see by the "Deer in Headlights" expression from Brian.

Mama and Daddy getting some rest for the next crazy 20 years ahead of them!
